Miles for Tuesday announces 2nd Annual 5k Run/Walk at the Breckenridge Brewery!

June 10, 2016 - Denver, CO -
We are excited to announce that the 2nd annual Miles for Tuesday 5k will take place on Saturday, August 6th.  This family-friendly event will begin at 9:00 a.m. along the Platte River Trail, with the race start and finish at the Breckenridge Brewery campus located at 2920 Brewery Lane in Littleton, CO.

All proceeds from the Miles for Tuesday 5K run/walk will go directly to The Pablove Foundation whose mission is to invest in underfunded, cutting-edge pediatric cancer research, inspire cancer families through education, and improve the lives of children living with cancer through the arts.  Specifically, proceeds from the 5K event will help to fund The Pablove Foundation’s Denver Shutterbugs program – an art program that teaches children in Colorado living with cancer to develop their creative voice through the art of photography.

The Miles for Tuesday 5K is named in honor of Tuesday Whitt from Castle Rock, CO who lost her battle to childhood cancer at the age of 2.  Since 2009, Miles for Tuesday related events have raised over $190,000 in support of children living with cancer here in Colorado. For more information, and to register, please visit www.milesfortuesday.org.  To connect with other runners, you can check out the event Facebook page.

Miles for Tuesday would like to thank the following sponsors for their generosity so that 100% of the race proceeds will go towards our charity:  Breckenridge Brewery, Stridemob, Rapid Technologies, KBCO 97.3, Tanya Anderson Design, BELLA+CANVAS, Runners Roost, and INDYINK.

About Miles for TuesdayMiles for Tuesday is 100% volunteer-based and comprised of runners of all experience levels raising funds in support of kids battling cancer.  It’s our hope through Miles for Tuesday that we can significantly contribute to pediatric cancer research and improving the lives of children living with cancer through the arts.
